You never know what lies behind every corner. The hotels are far from most cities. In Shanghai we took the subway away from town and ended up at a budist temple. We had a late flight.We were very fortunate and had a great group to travel with. I recommend getting to know the people in your group.
Cheap vacation you get because they give you a big time share pitch. There are some amazing things and it's very inexpensive but the paid optional trips aren't very optional. Many are expected and if you don't do them you're told to sit on the bus and wait for a few hours. You are also taken to over priced stores and left there to shop for hours.
